Unpolished long grain Camargue rice - whole grain rice with excellent taste and extraordinary red colour due to the natural pigment contained in the pericarp of the grain. This rice is typical of France and has a somewhat nutty taste and chewy texture.
The red rice aroma contains notes of toasted bread and almonds, on the palate - nutty notes. Most rice calories come from its carbohydrate content. Given that the germ of the rice is left intact, the red rice possesses richer nutritional values. Rice is easy to digest, boiled well, while maintaining its shape.

HOW TO ENJOY
30 minutes before cooking, you might soak the rice in cold water so that they absorb moisture, this way the rice shell will retain its shape.
With a ratio of rice to water of 1:3 (or similar depending on how sticky or dry you prefer), cook for 35 minutes.
Boiled red rice can be used as a side dish or as an ingredient in salads and hot dishes. It is included in recipes for paella, pilaf and other national dishes, and goes well with seafood.
