A stoneground flour milled from 100% organic buckwheat. Despite the name, it isn't a wheat or a grain at all, as it is actually a seed. Buckwheat flour is famous for its unique taste and vitamin composition.
It is gluten free and high in carbohydrates, however due to its low GI index, the sugars are absorbed very slow, so it wonÕt cause a sudden rise in blood sugar levels. Its low GI can help lower cholesterol, regulate insulin, reduce inflammation and risks of some cancers. Additionally, its high protein, mineral and antioxidant content make it a very healthy flour to cook with.
