Originally cultivated in the eastern Mediterranean, Dill is a herb from the celery family. Its flavour is quite strong, tasting like a combination of fennel, anise and celery, with warm, slightly bitter undertones.
Dill is high in fiber, folate, which is important for cell division and production of DNA, calcium for healthy bones, riboflavin for cell functioning, manganese, and iron. but with its strong flavour, the little amount consumed will make these effects negligible.
