GREY POUPON - DIJON MUSTARD
A culinary classic and perhaps the most famous French mustard variety in the world with a powerful flavor that goes well with red meat. It is made from crushed seeds of Sarepta mustard, the intense burning taste of which is ennobled by the fine acidity of vinegar. It will perfectly complement red meat, pasta with cheese and warm salads with potatoes.
In 1634, by a special royal edict of Louis XIII, the city of Dijon was granted the exclusive right to produce mustard, after which a corporation of mustard and vinegar producers was organized there. Although manufacturing methods and recipes may vary, the production of Dijon mustard is strictly protected by law, since it has had a controlled designation of origin since 1937.
