Many herbs collectively make up Herbs de Provence. In a broad sense, Provencal herbs are a mixture of aromatic herbs collected in the south of France, in the province of Provence. A wide variety of plants are used in the preparation of the seasoning. The seasoning may contain a mixture of Provencal herbs, not necessarily prepared from the same composition. In any case, it will be fragrant and used in the constant diet of the local population. After all, a huge amount of spices grown on the fertile French soil allows you to experiment. Such a mixture does not have an exact composition and proportions, and each time it can be different. At the same time, the ratio of herbs is chosen according to one's own taste and in accordance with the intended dish.
An exceptionally skillful combination of herbs has created a composition with a unique aroma and many culinary and medicinal virtues. The high content of active ingredients (volatile essential oils, tannins, bitterness) stimulates the sense of smell and taste, promotes digestion and increases appetite.

Provencal herbs belong to the universal seasonings. They give taste and aroma to fresh diet meals without salt. The mixture of herbs is widely used in the preparation of soups, sauces and salads. Spices are indispensable for minced meat and fish dishes, for cooking roasts and various fillings. A creamy sauce with garlic and Provencal herbs gives a special taste to the potatoes.
Provencal herbs are also used to make butter and vegetable oil. They go particularly well with olive oil.
