Sesame seeds can be used to create tahini and are also pretty when used to decorate Asian dishes with their black counterpart.
In cooking, sesame first used in Asian countries when been added to sweets and halva. A pleasant-tasting paste was made from it, it had a sweet notes, despite the fact that sesame has a slightly bitter aftertaste.
Crushed seeds are used for breading meat, fish and vegetable dishes. A delicious dessert can be made with the addition of sesame seeds - toasted nuts coated in honey and sesame.
If you want to get most out of sesame seeds, it is best to consume them soaked. When seeds are soaked and their shell is soft, it is easier to chew them, they are digested faster. Toasted seeds no longer have all properties, once they are affected by heat.
